Exmoor Youth Project

After School Clubs 

Every Thursday, St Andrews in Minehead runs an after school club from 3.40pm- 5.00pm for young people aged 0-12, this is a chance for young people and their parents to just meet, have drinks and a meal, story & reflection, fun, games and craft!

Assemblies 

Currently the Youth Project take assemblies each term in 13 of the local schools. Both Lynne and Jess take regular collective worship sessions- this is one of our favourite parts of the role, to share Jesus in school! We always try to make it fun and interactive and often include a song! 

 

Exmoor Youth Camp

Every year in the summer a team of adult helpers and several young people from the area of Exmoor, descend on some quaint Camping barns near Dulverton for almost a week. We explore various Bible stories and characters, worship together, eat together, play lots of games, have campfires, and maybe get a little bit of sleep. It is such a fantastic place to spend a week of your year and we absolutely love it!

Most recently (and since COVID) we have switched this to doing 
Woodland Fun Days in a local privately owned woodland- we do lots of similar activities to camp, just without the sleepover and are able to do more woodland based activities, such as Den Building.

 

Holiday Club

For the last 10 years the Churches in & around Minehead have got together and put on a cracking week of activities over the summer, from cooking, to painting, singing and dancing, worship and stories, there is a lot of fun to be had. This year was no exception, with our Knights and Dragons theme- looking at the Armour of God!

Experience days

Over the course of the academic year, we offer the schools a variety of 'Experience days' these include; Harvest, Advent & Christmas, Lent & Easter, Pentecost and a few in between! They cover most of the churches big festivals. They are great fun and really educational and interactive!
